Trade License in Abu Dhabi explained

The United Arab Emirates has turned itself into one of the world’s fastest-growing economies in the past several years. The nation’s favourable tax policies, profitable economic climate established by its visionary leadership, world-class infrastructure, and strategic position, which provides global connection, all contribute to the ease with which business may be conducted in the country. In recent years, Abu Dhabi has emerged as a popular location for company owners and prospective entrepreneurs from across the globe. The low cost of obtaining a trade licence in Abu Dhabi makes it an attractive option.

Trade License in Abu Dhabi explained

For businesses, setting up shop in Abu Dhabi is a smart decision since it is one of the most cost-effective Emirates in which to conduct commercial operations. A two-year business licence in Abu Dhabi is thus available for the price of one, or even less in certain cases.

The Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development regulates the issuance of commercial permits on the Mainland of the Emirati capital (ADDED).

Specifically, we will look at the several kinds of trade licences available in Abu Dhabi, the papers needed, and the estimated costs associated with each licence, as well as the procedure involved in business registration in Abu Dhabi.

For all new establishments / industries / activities / businesses in the Abu Dhabi Mainland jurisdiction, three kinds of licences are available: the following: the following:

‘Tajer Abu Dhabi’ is a hotel in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.

Residents of the United Arab Emirates are the only ones who may apply for this Abu Dhabi Mainland business licence. The Tajer Abu Dhabi licence may be obtained by entrepreneurs who have a valid residence visa as well as an Emirates ID card, in general.
Individuals are the only ones who may own a corporation. Therefore, the name ‘Tajer Abu Dhabi’ is not suitable for a corporate office or a shareholder business structure in the United Arab Emirates.
Non-UAE citizens may only establish a Limited Liability Company (LLC) regardless of the nature of their commercial activities (LLC). As a result, whether your business provides professional services or engages in trade activities, the entity form must be that of a limited liability company.

The licence includes a default limit of three employee visas, which may be increased if necessary.
The ‘Tajer Abu Dhabi’ trade licence may be used for more than 2500 different activities. For the first two years of operation, the company owners are not required to have an office space, according to this licence.
Currently, businesses that have an existing visa sponsor’s no-objection certificate (NOC) do not need to submit an application for the ‘Tajer Abu Dhabi’ licence.

In most cases, this trade licence may be completed within two to three business days.

The following is the cost of a Tajer Abu Dhabi licence:

AED 1,515 for the first two years of operation for a single proprietorship
For the formation of a limited liability company, the fee is AED 6,850 for two years.

Trade licences are issued instantly in Abu Dhabi.

The UAE allows any interested parties, including residents and tourists, to get an immediate trading licence in the country.
The licence provides for the integration of trade operations with professional and service-oriented company activities, among other things.
More than 2,500 operations are eligible for an immediate trade licence in Abu Dhabi, which does not need the use of an office space for the first year of operation.

The licence includes a default visa limit for up to three workers, which may be increased if necessary.
In order to apply for an immediate business licence, you do not need to acquire a NOC from your existing visa sponsor.
You may get this licence in as little as one working day if you have the necessary documentation.

Approximately how much will it cost to get an Abu Dhabi trade licence?

For the formation of a limited liability company, the fee is AED 6,850 for a two-year normal business licence in Abu Dhabi.

Anyone in Abu Dhabi may apply for a regular business licence, which is similar to an immediate licence.

Furthermore, a foreign corporation may hold a stake in this business model via a subsidiary.

Depending on the nature of the company activity, an LLC or a sole proprietorship may be the most appropriate legal form for expatriates.

However, in order to apply for a regular business licence in Abu Dhabi, you must have an office or rent a commercial space on the ground floor.

Under the regular business licence, there are no limits on the number of employee visas that may be applied for and granted.

Within five to seven working days, this licence is often issued.
