In Nevada, the cost of forming an LLC (limited liability corporation) online is $425. When submitting the LLC’s Articles of Organization, Initial List, and Business License Charge, this fee is paid to the Nevada Secretary of State.

How Much Does a Nevada LLC Cost?

Fee for Nevada LLC Online Filing: $425

The $425 charge to submit your LLC’s Articles of Organization, Initial List, and Business License Fee online with the Nevada Secretary of State is the principal expense to form an LLC.

The annual list fee in Nevada is $150.

LLCs in Nevada are required to submit an annual list with the Secretary of State.

This form may be submitted through the Nevada Secretary of State’s website. Failure to file on time in Nevada carries a $75 penalty.
Renewal Fee for a Nevada Business License: $200

Every year, LLCs in Nevada must renew their state business registration. This is something that can be done online. The charge is $200, plus a $100 late fee.

Fee for Registered Agent

Although you may be your own registered agent in Nevada, employing a registered agent service keeps your firm in compliance, informs you of critical filing dates, and helps you avoid late fines.

The Cost of Creating a Foreign LLC in Nevada

If you currently have an LLC established in another state and want to expand into Nevada, you must register your LLC as a foreign LLC in Nevada.

A Nevada foreign LLC registration costs $425. A foreign LLC may be registered in Nevada by submitting an Application for Registration of Foreign Limited-Liability Company. This may also be done via the mail.
Permits and Licenses for Businesses

Depending on your industry and geographic area, your company may need federal, state, and municipal permits/licenses to operate lawfully in Nevada. This is true regardless of whether you create an LLC or another sort of company structure.

Other Fees for Filing an LLC

There are several extra costs involved with forming an LLC:

Reservation of an LLC Name:
By submitting a Name Reservation Request and paying the $25 filing fee, you may reserve your name for up to 90 days prior to the establishment of your LLC. You may also submit your application via mail.

DBA (Doing Business As) Name:
To establish a name different than your official LLC company name, file for a fake firm name and pay the $25 filing fee.

Copies of Certified Documents:
Order certified copies of your Nevada business records from the Secretary of State for $30 + $2 per page.

Good Standing Certificate:
A Nevada certificate of good standing may be obtained by contacting the Secretary of State and paying the $50 cost. Banks and lending institutions often demand a certificate of good standing.
