The Evolution of Lawyers and the Practice of Law
Impartiality must be built through open societies that share information. When there is information, there is enlightenment. When there is debate, there are solutions. When there is no sharing of power, no rule of law, no accountability, there is abuse, corruption, subjugation, and indignation. Anywhere, anytime ordinary people are given the chance to choose, the choice is the same: freedom, not tyranny; democracy, not dictatorship; the rule of law, not the rule of the surreptitious forces. The legal profession is the one profession where there is no shortcut to success. You will have to work hard to climb the stairs of success and fame.
