Jurisdictional Preferences:

Entrepreneurs may establish a business as a freelancer from a certain jurisdiction that allows them to engage in a variety of activities. The following jurisdictions in the United Arab Emirates provide freelancer permits for the purpose of obtaining a freelance licence: Abu Dhabi Two Four 54, Dubai Production City, Dubai Media City, Dubai Studio City, Dubai Knowledge Park, Dubai Design District, Dubai International Academic City, Fujairah Creative City, and Umm Al Quwain FTZ. It is essential for a freelancer to select a jurisdiction and to research whether the activity to be performed qualifies for a licence in advance of beginning work.

Application for a Freelancer’s License:

It is necessary to get an application form from the appropriate jurisdictional body in order to proceed. The application must be accompanied by a business plan, a photocopy of the applicant’s passport with a resident visa, letters of recommendation and reference from previous employers, a résumé, a portfolio, and authentic qualification certificates and credentials. An additional need is a good standing certificate from the referenced bank confirming that the person has a suitable account, in addition to a NOC if the individual is a resident of the UAE.

Visa requirements are as follows:

In order to work in the UAE, it is necessary for expatriates to obtain a visa granted by their employer. However, if you are a freelancer, you may be able to get an employment visa via the licencing agency. If you are already sponsored by your spouse visa or another employer, you will just need to obtain a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the licencing agent to work in the United States.

Office Space for Rent:

In order to get a UAE freelancer licence, it is also essential to rent an office space in the jurisdiction in which the licence is being sought. However, as a single proprietorship, there are a variety of handy alternatives available, such as Flexi-desks, smart offices, and other similar arrangements. In addition, some jurisdictions provide licencing packages that contain all of these fees and expenses.

Company in charge of business setup:

The fact that having a business setup organisation help you rather than doing it yourself is a preferred technique according to many business owners is a proven truth. From advising you on the best jurisdiction for your business activity to renting office space and helping you through the paperwork, a business setup firm takes care of all the needs for you.
