Last Will and Testament vs. Living Will

Mar 24, 2023

Discover the difference between a living will and a final will and testament.

The estate administration procedure.
A Last Will and Testament specifies how your assets will be allocated and used after your death. A Living Will expresses your desires for life support if you are in a persistent vegetative state or an irreparable coma and unable to convey them. They are two completely separate papers. Following death, the Living Will may authorize an autopsy, make anatomical donations, and specify the disposal of your remains. (whether you wish to be buried, or cremated, or neither.) The majority of other postmortem choices are handled in a Will and Testament.
