When transferring registered agent services, when an agent resigns or goes out of business, or if they choose to function as their own registered agent, a company owner may opt to change their registered agent.

Obtain Written Authorization from Your New Registered Agent
In Arizona, you must get written approval from your new registered agent before changing registered agents. The Statutory Agent Acceptance form may be used for this.
This document should be submitted to the Arizona Corporation Commission together with the Statement of Change.
Submit a Statement of Change
The easiest approach to alter your registered agent is to file a Statement of Change with the Arizona Corporation Commission.
This may be done through email, mail, in person, or fax.

The Arizona Corporation Commission’s eCorp website allows you to complete and submit a Statement of Change online. This procedure includes the following steps:
Access the website by logging in.
Choose “Online Services.”
Click the “Change Addresses or Statutory Agent” button.
Look for and/or choose your firm.
Fill up and submit the form
Request your new agent’s permission by email.
Send a Statement of Change through mail, in person, or fax.
To submit a Statement of Change by mail or in person, first download and fill out the form from the Arizona Corporation Commission website. If your company is incorporated, you must complete the Corporation Statement of Change form. File the LLC Statement of Change form if it is a limited liability corporation (LLC).
Submit the Statement of Change, together with a cover sheet and a completed Statutory Agent Acceptance form, to one of the following addresses:

Price: There is no fee for submitting the company form. The filing fee for the LLC form is $5, which may be paid by credit card, cheque, money order, or cash. Cash payments are only accepted for in-person submissions.

Why Should You Change Registered Agents?
A firm may choose to change its registered agent for a variety of reasons, including:
Changing from an Individual Agent to a Registered Agent Service: While people (even a company’s own executives or employees) may operate as registered agents, they will be publicly listed in the state’s database. Some individuals may see this as an invasion of their privacy. Registered agents must also be accessible at their office between the hours of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, which might be inconvenient. These concerns are resolved by switching to a registered agent service.
Business Expansion into New States: LLCs, corporations, and other formal business formations must have a registered agent in each state where they do business. Not all registered agents are authorized to act as a registered agent in every state. Some companies would rather have the same registered agent in each state than multiple separate ones.
Customer Contentment: Some changes occur simply because a firm is dissatisfied with its present registered agent, whether the issue is one of pricing, customer service, or job quality.
